A bridge is used to restore a missing tooth, or multiple missing teeth i.e. “bridge the gap” A bridge is fixed to either one tooth- a cantilever bridge, or onto two or more teeth, a conventional bridge. They are generally cemented to teeth either side of a gap, or fixed to one or more dental implants.We can design a bridge to be fixed to a tooth or teeth using conventional crown and bridge techniques, or by making adhesive (stuck on) bridges- a Maryland bridge.
